Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers about installation, configuration, licenses and Firewall Manager operation.

1

If my IP is blocked and I cannot access the system, how do I fix it?

You must change your IP. If you are connected to WiFi, disable it and use mobile data or another WiFi connection. Then connect to remote desktop, disable the firewall or find the blocked IP to delete it.

You can also contact your hosting service provider to do this management for you or access through a VPN or other means that provides you access to the Virtual Machine (VM) or Dedicated Server.

2

I don't have access to Plesk and I enabled the RDP block. How do I fix it?

First, check whether you can access it from another connection, such as your mobile phone (don't use Wi-Fi). If not, the only alternative is to remotely restart the server. Once Windows has started, the Firewall has a 5-minute delay, during which RDP access is available. Use those 5 minutes to log in and disable the blocking rule.

3

What is the BOT rule?

If you enable this rule, the system will become more sensitive to failed attempts and overall security is increased. If it detects patterns of malware, bots, connection bursts, or robots, it will block them sooner.

4

Can I get information from the operations log?

Yes, from the extension's "View Logs" tab, you can get the information you need. The system will only show the last 400 records, and you can search by columns and text.

If you need an advanced search, you can see this help section help-windows-log.html

If you want the system to generate daily log files with the list of blocked IP addresses, you can see this help section on how to do it help-system-log.html
