Download and Install the extension

Choose the installation method you prefer

Connect to the server via Remote Desktop (RDP) and open CMD as Administrator. Run the following command:

plesk bin extension.exe --install-url "https://www.flexservices.app/ext/plesk-flex-firewall-manager.zip"

Plesk will download and install the extension automatically. The process takes a few seconds.

Once completed, the extension will appear available in the Plesk extensions panel.

If you prefer to install the extension manually from the Plesk panel, follow these steps:

  1. Download the .zip file from the official link:
    https://www.flexservices.app/ext/plesk-flex-firewall-manager.zip
  2. Log in to the Plesk panel with your administrator account.
  3. Go to Extensions → Extensions Catalog → Upload Extension.
  4. Select the downloaded ZIP file and click Install.
  5. Wait a few seconds for the installation process to finish.

If you don't see the "Upload Extension" option, follow these steps to enable permissions in the panel.ini file

2

Activate the license

Get and activate your license from the extension panel

Once the extension is installed, access it from the Plesk panel in the welcome wizard to complete the setup.

Promotion: If you have a promo code or license, you'll enter it in the wizard.

3

Initial configuration

Enable the services you want to monitor and protect

After activating the license, configure which services you want to protect. You can enable or disable each module independently:

SMTP / POP / IMAP / FTP

Monitor incorrect access attempts on email or FTP services.

Web / WordPress / Plesk

Block bots and brute force attacks on web panels and WordPress.

RDP (Remote Desktop)

Protect remote access to the server against intrusion attempts.

MySQL / MariaDB / SQL Server

Monitor and block unauthorized access to databases.

We recommend enabling at least the SMTP and Web modules in the initial configuration for immediate basic protection.

4

Cloudflare Integration (Optional)

Boost protection by combining the local firewall with Cloudflare

If you use Cloudflare on any of your domains, Firewall Manager can integrate to block IPs directly at the network layer, even before traffic reaches your server.

  1. Go to the Rules → Cloudflare section in the extension panel.
  2. Enter your Cloudflare Token.

Each Plesk Client can store their token individually to manage their domains, CDN, Cache, DNS, etc ...

You can easily get the Token from the Cloudflare section itself. With this integration, every IP blocked by the local firewall will also be automatically added to the Cloudflare rules, providing a double layer of protection.
